	The Dem IM: I want to promise you tonight that we as a people will get to the promised land.

An amazing political/historical/American moment is/has taken place. Jimmy Carter, Bill and Hillary Clinton, and the Reverend all just ripped into President Bush (who just sat there smirking). Domestic spying, weapons of mass destruction, "weapons of mass distraction", and Katrina have all been discussed.

As an African-American who has dedicated myself to the work of Dr. and Mrs. King, I believe that it is our responsibility to use this moment. We must take this opportunity to speak truth to power and speak truth to people. It is time that we let the media and the nation know why we fight.


This is about justice, fair play, and equality.

We believe that it is God's will that we raise each other up in a spirit of peace of hope rather than tear each other apart through greed and dishonesty.
